Credit for this idea goes to the wonderful leader of the Indivisible group I belong to. She regularly takes photos at our protests. She uses her phone for some of the photos but always asks if people would like her to take a photo using their phone. Knowing that we are on the lookout for different ways to get our messages out to others, she thought about using protest photos on holiday cards.
If you do personalized photo cards each year, maybe you can use some photos on your card from the protests you attend. If that appeals to you, be sure to begin taking plenty of photos NOW so you'll have some good ones.
I did a super quick sample card using some random photos I found online. There are many options for doing this. You could have photos of you and your friends and family holding signs. You could take photos of your favorite signs and just use those without people's faces. You could create a collage with many photos or just use one that is awesome. If you do a collage, you could use all photos from protests or just a few of them included along with vacation snapshots or whatever.
The signs in the photos could be messages of hope, witty and fun, or deep and important - whatever you like. Maybe there's a specific message that you would like the people in your life to hear. Having a photo that includes a prominent sign with that message would be an easy way to get that message out.
