The issue... the trump administration continues to start wars and threaten wars all over. There are so many problems with this.
Congress is supposed to be the ones to make the call as to whether or not we engage in war. trump ignored that law. Congress is not taking a stand on this.
The wars he is started are without provocation. National intelligence recently stated that Iran was not currently a threat. Venezuela was not a threat. Cuba, which he has begun threatening, is not a threat. And don't forget all the countries he has threatened since he took office - Canada, Mexico, Greenland... It's all madness.
The expense is exorbitant. Billions! And they are asking for more money. Yet they don't seem to have enough money to fund programs that could actually help Americans.
The wars are destabilizing the world. The Middle East is in chaos. South America is on edge. Europe is on high alert. Our allies no longer trust us. They are forming alliances with other countries and bypassing us. They are refusing to help in the war with Iran. trump has cozied up to our former enemies, yet they are still working against us. Russia is helping Iran in this latest war.
trump has no clear purpose for being at war with Iran, at least none that he has articulated to the public. A number of possibilities have been stated by folks in his administration, but they vary so much that it is non-sensical. He has no plan for how to end the war.
The people who were experts in fields that would be helpful now were fired a while back.
The minesweeper ships that have a long history of being battle tested were decommissioned in 2025. They were replaced by ships that supposedly have minesweeping capabilities but have never been deployed in combat. (Trump pulled mine-sweepers from the Middle East and they’re sitting in Philadelphia as the Iran War rages - The Independent)
It's almost as if failure is the plan.

Bonus
The sentiments of this song are as pertinent now as they were when John Fogerty penned them and his band, Creedance Clearwater Revival recorded them in 1969.
Some folks are born made to wave the flag
They're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the Chief"
They point the cannon at you, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one
Some folks are born, silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, yeah
But when the taxman comes to the door
The house look a like a rummage sale
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no millionaire's son, no, no
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one
Yeah, some folks inherit star-spangled eyes
They send you down to war
And when you ask 'em, "How much should we give?"
They only answer, "More, more, more"
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no military son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one, one
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one
